Drew Glaceon from memory with 4 colours. Why? Why not! Pretty positive I got her colouration the wrong way round.

July 8, 2010I finished that WIP this morning. It took a few hours, but i’m pleased with the result. It’s a drawing of myself in my favourite outfit (well, i wish my hair looked that cool when i curled it, but alas) You can’t quite see all the detail i put into the skirt, but there’s even tiny tiny writing where it should be!

July 6, 2010This was for my digital illustration class; i created it using Painter, which i had never used before. I had to create an illustration for the Radio Times that represented the book ‘The picture of Dorian Grey’. I’ve never read it (I’d have liked to but the library didn’t get it for me in time) but i think i managed a pretty decent rendition. Sadly, it looks pretty bad shrunk small, which is what it was intended for. But you live and you learn – the details were just too small.

May 6, 2010Ok, so i have a stupid amount of stuff to update. Let’s start with this sketch i did last night of my poupee on Queeky (It’s an online drawing application) It’s for a mini competition on the community, where they give you 24 hours to do something. This month was draw your poupee on Queeky doing your profession! It was kind of hard to use and I was on limited time, but i think i did OK. I don’t think I’m going to win, some of the other entries were very cute too. I really enjoy the poupee community. You can see the other entries here.

April 1, 2010Flyer for exhibition. No April fools here! There is information on the back of the flyer. The idea is, since the exhibition is about questioning the meaning of moustaches and deciding which are ‘unposessed’ that the exhibition is essentially created by the visitors as only modern people can decide what is considered ‘unposessed’. It’s mixed with a humorous outlook along side facts. I wanted something interactive for the flyer, something that caught your eye. It picks on juvenile humour so at the same time makes you question such humour and why it is funny.
Oh man i just noticed i put BATLIC instead of BALTIC. Rob didn’t even notice so it’s…ok i guess? haha
